Thank you – this is very timely for me. I am just learning Facebook and I’m afraid of alienating people by posting too often. I try to keep it relevant. I have noticed, however, that there are 2 types of people: the ones who post several times a day and the ones who never post.

The danger in posting too often – even if you have much good stuff to post – is that people may unsubscribe to your updates (if they know how). The trick is to find that happy place – not too often, but often enough!

Hi Jeri, I have a question. As of yesterday, all the posts on my profile are gone going back to early September. If I click on ‘highlights’, it will switch to ‘all stories’, but when refreshed, it goes right back to old news and all the current stuff is gone. I can’t get it to stay current, in other words. What’s that about? Thanks!

Thank you. I reported the bug a few times. I also logged in and out, same problem, can’t get it to update when I try to view it; although others see what is current. I don’t know how to get it to stop showing only what they consider to be highlights….

What happens if you unhighlight the posts that are highlighted? Alternatively, have you looked at the missing posts in your activity log – is there any difference between the ones that show and those that don’t?

There is nothing missing in my activity log! I only highlighted the most recent ones to try to get them back in view, but it didn’t work. The ones visible to me, dating back to early september, I never highlighted at all, even though they say highlighted. All very strange.
